PineConnector Edge Is Live: Hosted MT5, Included in Every Plan
PineConnector Edge is available now, in early access. Edge is hosted MetaTrader 5, run by PineConnector on its own infrastructure and included in every PineConnector plan. You bring your TradingView strategy and your own broker account. PineConnector runs the MT5 terminal underneath them, so there is no VPS to rent, no Windows machine to keep awake and no Mac workaround to maintain. You set it up from the PineConnector portal in a couple of minutes and control it from any browser.
This post covers why we built Edge, the three setups it replaces, what changes for you, what Edge deliberately does not do, and what it costs.

Why We Built Edge: Three Setups That Kept Breaking
PineConnector has connected TradingView to MetaTrader for traders since 2021. Over that time the connection itself became the easy part. The hard part, and the source of most support conversations, was the machine the MT5 terminal had to live on. Three patterns came up again and again.
1. The Mac trader who could not run the EA at all
MetaTrader 5 opens on a Mac, but the PineConnector EA does not run on the Mac build. The EA depends on Windows DLL imports, and the Mac compatibility layer does not support them. Every Mac trader hit the same wall. The workarounds were Parallels or Boot Camp, which keep your Mac awake all week, or a rented Windows VPS, which adds a second product to learn. As more traders moved to Macs, this became the single most common reason a new PineConnector user could not get started. Our guide on running MT5 on a Mac walks through the detail.
2. The home PC that was never meant to be a server
Running MT5 on your own computer works until it does not. The lid closes. Windows restarts for an update at three in the morning. Home Wi-Fi drops for ninety seconds. Someone else in the house shuts the machine down. Each time, the EA goes offline and every alert that fires in that window is lost. The signal is not queued or retried. A missed entry is annoying. A missed exit on an open position is expensive. Most traders on this setup found out hours later, from their broker statement.
3. The VPS that became a second job
A VPS fixes the sleeping laptop, but it hands you a server to look after in return. You choose a provider, size the machine, learn remote desktop, install MT5, attach the EA, allow DLL imports, patch Windows, and restart the terminal when it dies overnight. You pay a second bill and deal with a second support desk. When something breaks between the VPS, the terminal and the bridge, neither vendor owns the problem. Monitoring is the part nobody mentions when they recommend a VPS: someone has to check that the terminal is still signed in, and that someone was you.
None of that is trading. Every hour spent on it is an hour not spent on the strategy, which is the only part of the setup that can actually make a difference to results.
What Changes With Edge
With PineConnector Edge, the MT5 terminal runs on PineConnector's infrastructure instead of on a machine you own or rent. You add an instance from the Edge page of the PineConnector portal, enter the MT5 login for the broker account you want to trade, choose the broker server and click Go Live. Setup typically takes about two minutes. From then on, your TradingView alerts reach your hosted terminal the same way they always did, and that terminal places the orders at your broker.

Your TradingView alert messages do not change. Edge runs the same PineConnector EA, so the syntax you already use keeps working. Traders moving from a VPS can run both in parallel on a demo account, then cancel the server once they are comfortable.
Because Edge is included in every plan, there is no hosting fee on top of the subscription and nothing extra to buy. The connections and hosted instances in a plan are one number, not two. A Plus subscriber has three connections and three hosted MT5 terminals, and they are the same three.
More Than a Bridge: Infrastructure for Serious Traders
Professional trading teams separate strategy from infrastructure. Independent traders are usually expected to do both, and the infrastructure half is where most retail automation quietly fails. Edge is our answer to that split. PineConnector focuses on the infrastructure so you can focus on the strategy.
That changes what PineConnector is. For years it was known as a bridge, the piece that carries a TradingView alert into MetaTrader. Today every plan is a complete setup for running a retail trading system:
- Bridge. TradingView webhook alerts delivered to MetaTrader, with typical delivery under one second from PineConnector to the terminal.
- Edge. Hosted MT5, run and monitored by PineConnector.
- Analytics. Performance, calendar, history and summary views of every trade, in the portal.
- Tasks. No-code routines for the account housekeeping you would otherwise do by hand.
- Notifications. Email on every plan, with Telegram on Plus and above.
We built this for traders who treat automation as a system rather than an experiment. That means people trading prop firm accounts where a missed exit has real consequences. It means people running several accounts, and people with a job during market hours who need the setup to work without them. If you have a strategy you trust and you want a setup you can trust with it, that is who Edge is for.
It is not for everyone, and we would rather say so. If your workflow depends on a third-party Expert Advisor, or you trade on MetaTrader 4, or you genuinely enjoy running your own server, PineConnector still works the way it always has on your own terminal. Edge is included, not required.
What Edge Is Not
- Not a broker. You open your own account, in your own name, at the broker you choose. Your funds stay there.
- Not managed execution. PineConnector runs the machine. You decide what it is told to do. Nobody at PineConnector decides what you trade or when.
- Not a general-purpose VPS. There is no Windows desktop and no remote desktop login. You control the instance from the portal.
- Not a host for third-party EAs. Only the PineConnector EA runs on Edge.
- Not an MT4 product. Hosted instances run MetaTrader 5.
- Not a promise about your results. Edge removes infrastructure failures from your setup. It does not change what your strategy does with the trades it places.
Early access also means a few things are still arriving. Hosted instances currently run in New York, with London coming soon for Plus and Pro. The Pro plan and the paid add-on for extra instances are coming soon. During early access the EA settings on a hosted instance use a fixed default configuration. The Edge documentation is the current source of truth for what is available today.
About Your Broker Credentials
A hosted terminal has to log in to your broker, so Edge needs the MT5 login for the account you connect. You enter it yourself in the portal. Credentials are encrypted in transit and at rest, and your instance is isolated to you rather than shared with other traders. PineConnector never holds your funds and has no way to move them. You can stop your instance from the portal at any time, and because the account is yours, you can also change the password at your broker, which ends the connection immediately. Plans and Pricing
Every plan includes Bridge, Edge, Analytics, Tasks and Notifications. Plans differ by how many trading accounts you connect at the same time, and each connection comes with its own hosted MT5 instance.

Prices are in US dollars, billed monthly. Subscribers who join at a launch price keep that base price for as long as the same subscription stays active. There is no trial. How to Get Started
- Create your account at the PineConnector portal and choose Core.
- Open the Edge page in the portal and click Add Instance.
- Select your License ID, enter the MT5 login, password and broker server for the account you want to trade, and click Go Live. Setup typically takes about two minutes.
- Send a test alert from TradingView to a demo account and confirm the trade appears at your broker.
- Point your live TradingView alerts at PineConnector exactly as you would for a self-hosted terminal.

Is PineConnector Edge available now?
Yes. PineConnector Edge is available today in early access and is included in the Core and Plus plans. The Pro plan is coming soon.
Do I still need a VPS with PineConnector?
No. With Edge, PineConnector runs the MetaTrader 5 terminal on its own infrastructure, so there is no VPS to rent, patch or restart. You can still run PineConnector on your own machine or VPS if you prefer.
Does Edge work on a Mac?
Yes. Nothing runs on your Mac. You manage your hosted MT5 instance from the portal in any browser, so Mac traders no longer need Parallels, Boot Camp or a rented Windows machine.
Does Edge cost extra?
No. Edge hosting is included in every plan. Core includes one hosted MT5 instance and Plus includes three. There is no separate hosting fee.
Can I run my own Expert Advisor on Edge?
No. Only the PineConnector EA runs on hosted instances. If your strategy depends on a third-party EA, keep running PineConnector on your own terminal.
Does Edge support MetaTrader 4?
No. Hosted instances run MetaTrader 5. MT4 traders continue to run their own terminal, which PineConnector supports as it always has.
What does early access mean?
Edge is live and you can use it today. Some parts are still arriving, such as the London location, the Pro plan and editable EA settings on hosted instances. The documentation lists what is available right now.
Is PineConnector trading on my behalf?
No. Edge is managed infrastructure, not managed execution. PineConnector runs the machine your terminal sits on. Your strategy, your broker account and every trading decision remain yours.
